Complex Contraceptive Clinic

Dr. Sabrina Holmquist provides general gynecologic and reproductive healthcare for women and adolescents. She specializes in contraceptive care for women and teens with complex medical histories, including management of hormonal contraception, placement of intrauterine devices, implantable contraceptives and surgical sterilization. The Complex Contraceptive Clinic offers contraception to all women, but especially those who are medically complicated due to ailments and or obesity.

Services include:

• Contraception options like Nuva Ring, IUD, Cervical Cap, The Pill, and Implanon for all women
• Contraceptive options for high risk and medically complicated patients, such as those with a history of blood clots, cancer, depression, diabetes, epilepsy, gastric bypass, high blood pressure, HIV/AIDS, lupus and other autoimmune syndromes, migraines, morbid obesity, and stroke
• Comprehensive contraceptive counseling and education
• Peri-menopause contraception services and counseling
• Intrauterine device (IUD) insertion and removal
• Medical management of fibroid tumors and dysfunctional uterine bleeding
• Pre-sterilization counseling, tubal ligation, and
•  Essure®  office based sterilization  
• Norplant® removal
• Implanon® insertion or removal
• Birth control pill and Nuva Ring prescription
• Emergency contraception prescriptions*
